Participants in faral making workshop organized by deAsra Foundation gets huge order of 1,220kg faral for this Diwali season by Sarpotadar hospitality and that amounts Rs.2,50,000/- for 25 participants.

deAsra Foundation had organized ‘Diwali Faral’ making workshop in collaboration with Mr. Kishor Sarpotdar of Poona Guest House fame, for those who wanted to boost their faral making businesses, by providing guidance on how to be compliant, package and market these products.

The participants were informed about the recipe, packaging and selling information, food business setup and compliances & management guidance.

“We are very happy and excited that got such huge order to make 2,500 Kanvale on the occasion of Diwali, thanks to deAsra Foundation and Mr. Kishor Sarpotdar for their faral making workshop was very helpful for this and they encouraged to keep doing great work.” Said Mrs. Arti Deshpande one who got order.

Ms. Malti Pawar said, “I took inspiration from deAsra’s Faral making workshop and started this business for the first time and gave me such a big order that I am inspired to continue this industry” she said, adding that they have shown great faith in giving a big order.

Traditionally these snacks were prepared at home prior to Diwali, but nowadays people buy a handful of faral from stores. Faral is a collection of snacks that is relished during the Diwali celebrations. It is offered to guests who drop in at home and even distributed to neighbours.
